The CPAN6 project targets for a new (software) distribution system, which combines the good of
CPAN with modern techniques (like authentication)
and dynamic interfaces.

The project is now under development for more than a year, so time has come to demonstrate some prototypes, and discuss some use-cases. The strategy for further development will be discussed.
